The Final Formula – Book Review

This is  the fist book in Becca  Andre‘s The Final Formula series, which I found for sale on Amazon.

This story begins with master alchemist Addie trying to create a formula that will restore her memories so she can learn what happened to the Alchemia, a school for alchemists that had been burned to the ground. She is only able to remember that there was a man at the school, The Flame  Lord, and she sets out to determine if he was the one that burned down the Alchemia. With the help of her best friend James they dive into a world of Old and New  Magic, with twists and secrets that everyone is desperate to keep. This book is very fast paced with strong, realistic characters. Although Addie isn’t a traditional female character, she’s interesting and you can’t help but be drawn in by her approach to the problems she has to solve. Andre keeps your interest with the right amount of action and  suspense; and although it takes a moment to get the  cast of characters straight, each one is a great addition to the plot and storyline.

I definitely recommend reading this book, as well as the others in this series. You won’t be disappointed.
